Looking back, the first time we visited Bohol, we stayed at Metrocentre Hotel and enjoyed a day trip to Panglao Island Nature Resort and Spa. Seventeen years later, we finally had the chance to return to this beautiful province, and this time we stayed at The Bellevue Bohol Resort.
We previously celebrated a birthday staycation at The Bellevue Manila and had a wonderful experience, so I was hoping we'd receive the same warm hospitality in Bohol. One thing we immediately appreciated was the resort's location on Doljo Beach. Since it's away from the busier areas of Panglao, the atmosphere is much quieter and more relaxing.
As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, the resort was offering a PHP 23,999 nett package for a two-night stay, which included:
Buffet breakfast for two
Round-trip airport transfers
PHP 1,500 tour rebate
One-hour full-body massage for two at Azurea Spa
For our family trip, however, we booked a Deluxe Room for PHP 9,500 per night, plus PHP 2,500 per night for an additional guest.
Our room rate included:
Daily buffet breakfast for two
Complimentary round-trip airport shuttle
Use of the swimming pool and fitness gym
Complimentary kayak use
Access to the game room
Free Wi-Fi
Welcome drinks
Access to the children's activity center
Although we only booked a Deluxe Room, we were pleasantly surprised when the staff informed us that we had been upgraded. Our room and bathroom were much more spacious and overlooked the garden. It turned out to be the perfect room, especially since we were traveling with two senior citizens.
When we entered our room, another surprise was waiting for us: a towel cake and a complimentary birthday cake. It reminded me of our birthday staycation at The Bellevue Manila, where we had to buy our own birthday cake. Looking back, I realized that both of our Bellevue stays happened while celebrating my husband's birthday. It was a nice coincidence that made the trip even more memorable.
We booked two rooms during our stay. One was for our family, while the other was for the senior citizens traveling with us.
Unfortunately, an unexpected incident happened on our first night at the resort. Because of this, we requested to transfer to another room, which meant giving up our complimentary upgrade. Our new room was smaller and no longer had a garden view, but we appreciated how the staff assisted us throughout the transfer.
The Bellevue Bohol Resort offers plenty of facilities, including an infinity pool, fitness gym, game room, children's play area, and Azurea Spa.
The resort also has several complimentary activities for guests. During our stay, we enjoyed free kayak use and the Glass Bottom Boat Ride, both of which were fun.
The resort has two restaurants, Lamian and Marea, where we had our breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you'd like to know more about the food, you can also read my other blog posts:

Despite the unexpected incident during our first night, we still had an enjoyable stay. The little touches made a big difference, from the welcome drinks and native necklace souvenirs to the midnight snacks, complimentary activities, birthday cakes served both in our room and at the restaurant, a 10% dining discount voucher, and complimentary drinks or dessert.
Even if you don't have any tours planned, you'll still find plenty of things to do within the resort, making it a great place to simply relax and unwind. Most importantly, the staff consistently provided excellent service from the moment we arrived until we headed home.
Overall, our stay at The Bellevue Bohol Resort was a memorable one. While no trip is ever perfect, the resort's comfortable accommodations, relaxing atmosphere, thoughtful gestures, and excellent customer service made our family vacation in Bohol one to remember.
